MDR WOMEN’S CIRCLES
The MDR Women's Circle is a council of women, formed in various cities, which gathers monthly to commune with the Spirit and clarify the vision for the work behind Mother’s Day Radio. We form with the understanding that, as women, we are the heart and Spirit of community--in essence, the Life Force, the Mother Principle--and as such we hold great power and responsibility.
Each Circle is formed independently with a facilitator and a group of women in someone's home or an intimate setting. We open by acknowledging the Divine in the way most comfortable for the particular group (some are using prayer, meditation and/or breath work). Specific reading material pertaining to MDR is sent to each host and she shares with her group.
“We set collective and personal intentions for our forward movement. An intention is a statement of purpose, of a desired result. It sets our focus in motion and aligns our energy toward achieving our aims. Setting an intention is about getting clear about what we truly want. We affirm our intention in the present tense as if it has already been accomplished.
From there we vision within our circle. When we vision we picture the fulfillment of our intention, allowing the images, words, thoughts and feelings of its fulfillment to emerge within us. We feel it; we feel what it is like to experience the successful accomplishment of our vision, and we speak it into existence as so.”
The women then allow for each woman to share her thoughts, ideas and visions, while a scribe collects the information. “We honor every woman's ideas in the spirit of collectivity. As we move forward in our work toward achieving our intention, we keep our eyes pierced on our vision, seeking only evidence of its successful fulfillment.”

“…I give thanks for God seeing fit to bless us with such a mighty role as the life- bearers, co-creators, teachers and nurturers of our children. I give thanks for the work we have done. With that same breath, I give thanks to our ancestors for the models of what we truly look like when we shine and are in alignment with what God has brought us here to do. My prayer is that we re-align ourselves with who we truly are, with what God intended for us to do and to be and in so doing, we take back our name. We reclaim our power; we reclaim our voice; we reclaim our strength. We are who we are; it is time to reclaim our space. With acceptance and acknowledgement of what we must do, we claim that it is already done and give thanks for God’s provision, guidance, and protection along this journey. Amen, ashe!”
